A charge was made this moring on this site, and I feel that it needs to be answered.
I will not tolerate this site being diverted from it’s mission, which is to protect as many children as we can from the abuse and neglect of children by CPS and CASA.
Therefore, if something is alleged of me and what happened in my life over 30 years ago concerning a child who is now dead at the hands of the State of New York, it will be answered here.
for background, Christopher Hunter was a 12 year old boy, moderately retarded (I.Q. 50) who was mute and extremely small for his age. His pictures are up on the photobucket site.
I was his “Family caretaker”, and he lived with me and 4 other boys on a 180 farm in upstate NY. His father, who had full custody of him, approved of his placement, and spent whatever visitation with Christopher he wanted, without restriction or notice.
Christopher 1st came to live with me when he was 9 years old, and was 12 when the State removed him from my care.
It was alleged today that the State had accused me of “Sexually abusing” him. This has never been the case, and the records reflect that fact.
What TBM is alluding to was the fact that the DA, during my trial for stealing Christopher’s Medical records, asked me on the stand if I had ever kissed this 12 year old boy. My answer was “Yes”. He then asked me if I had even kissed Christopher Hunter, a 12 year old child, on the lips. My answer was again “Yes”.
As most people who deal with Special needs children will freely tell you, they are openly friendly and affectionate. They rarely show a sense of shame or embarrassment, nobody ever taught them that their bodies are “Dirty” and if they like you, nobody ever told them it was wrong to show affection.
The obvious reason for the DA’s question was to inflame the Jury. The obvious reason for TBM’s insinuation is to discredit me.
As I told the DA from the stand, Christopher was so “Retarded” that he would most probably even kiss him if he gave Christopher the chance. But that didn’t necessarily mean that I would then think that he (The DA) was a pervert.
Naturally, the headlines in the papers the next day were “Bill Medvecky admits to kissing 12 year old boy in his care” (Albany Times Union.)
If returning hugs and kisses from a 12 year old with the mind of a 4 year old makes Bill Medvecky a pervert, so be it.
