I,ve been asked how Raymond is doing while he awaits the paperwork necessary to put him into the State’s “Corrections” system.
Like so many Mormon’s before him, he is not happy with the prospect of being persecuted for his religious beliefs, but also knows that his fate is in the hands of Heavenly Father, and there is nothing that he can do to avoid those that are determined to destroy his Faith and his family.
The support he has received from both those within his Faith, and those outside his Faith who stand by his Constitutional Rights to practice the religion of his father, grand-father, and great-grand father has been a great comfort to him, as have the requests to send him mail while still in the local jail, and later, once he enters “The system”. His in-coming mail will be unrestricted. His out-going mail will be limited to those on his list. The list is inadequate to satisfy those who want to communicate with him, but the last thing the State wants is for an inmate to know he has support and comfort from the outside. A smile on an inmates face is always taken as a sneer at authority, or an attack. They take great pains to see that smiles are wiped off faces as fast as they occur.
I received the attached pictures of Raymond as he prepares himself for his journey, and want to share them with you:
