The same reporter reported that just one witness in the case has been paid $44,000.00 for his testimony against Raymond.

---
That has to be Larry Beall. And no telling how much he got for hypnotizing and deprogramming all those ex-members.

A "life" sentence with the possibility of parole is 40 years, flat. No time off for good behavior, etc.

Alin

Yes, absolutely, it's an apples to oranges comparison.

Brooke would need to break it down by the degree of the conviction. Who knows whether they have that data or not.

Yeah,

She's good at throwing people a life saver...
after she's thrown them over board.

If I were a reporter, I would want to know exactly who else the State paid to buy their testimony against Raymond.

At his rate, this guy is going to get maybe a half million if he testifies against all 12, and then you have the bribes to Becky, Carolyn, Flora, Sam (If he can get his son out of jail in time).

I wonder who the anonymous donor is who is footing the bill for this circus/ I know it ain't Poor old Dan, he's up to his neck in I.R.S. Investigators trying to hide all his Vendetta payments that went tax free until now. With that and the beating he took in the market, his #2 wife and kids can expect some pretty severe times ahead with "Daddy".

Actually RiH the data is skewed. The data includes those convicted of 1st degree sexual assault. Raymond was convicted of 2nd degree so the averages above wouldn't apply to him.

One word: enhancement

She actually says that later in the article. Of the ones in prison a number will be repeat offenders who could get more than 20 years.
